Adult Store marketing, merchandising and display has come a long, long way in the past ten years. Nowadays the typical adult store is taking up prime retail space in shopping malls and high streets with a stunning choice of sex toys, pornography, lingerie, and erotic books.

The image of adult stores has changed from subversive sleaze to being at ease. Adult store marketing is approached in very much the same way as any other well known chain, the only difference being that the theme is sex. The mood and the emphasis has taken on a softer, more fun image, female friendly image.

Popular TV shows such as 'Sex and The City' have a done a great deal to make the adult store concept acceptable and approachable for women, and once it became acceptable to women, wouldn't you know it, it has suddenly become accessible for all!

There are of course restrictions, and window displays have to be discreet, and posters must display the nature of the merchandise within an adult store.
